MARIACHI CUBS
Join us as we explore the vibrant world of Mariachi, a traditional and culturally significant genre of music originating in Mexico and now enjoyed worldwide. No prior experience is required—whether you're a seasoned musician or a complete beginner, we welcome all. Bring your own instrument, or if you don't have one, simply attend a meeting and we'll provide one for you.
Mariachi ensembles typically feature instruments such as vihuelas, guitars, trumpets, harps, guitarrón, violins, and flutes. Our group fosters a sense of community, sharing our rich cultural heritage both on campus and within the local area.
Through this experience, you will learn to play a variety of instruments, develop skills in reading music and playing in an ensemble, discover the history of Mariachi, and help share this beautiful art form with the broader community.
