On behalf of your Student Affairs team, we wanted to welcome all of you to the spring semester! Our purpose is to provide you with the best information and resources to support your educational experience. We know times are uncertain and difficult, but the hope of education continues to be the light that shines in the darkest places. The Student Affairs team is here for you. Here’s some important things you should know as classes resume today.

Last week, Dr. Chong announced that all in-person instruction will continue as planned and is unaffected by the new Sonoma County health order and recommendations.

However, all in-person services that were scheduled for the beginning of the semester will remain remote through at least February 1st, with the exception of the SRJC Bookstore and Student Health Services.

    • The SRJC Bookstore will remain open for curbside pickup and walk-in services with limited capacity. Students must receive a wristband from the Safety Monitor station prior to entering.
    • Student Health Services will remain open to support COVID-19 testing, vaccinations and to provide other important health services by appointment.

Accessing Classrooms and Campus Facilities

Students and visitors must have a daily wristband to enter classrooms and campus facilities. Students cleared for in person classes should arrive on campus early for the check in process. Using your mobile device, you can show your Cleared4 Access Pass at one of the locations found on the maps linked below. Students who are not enrolled in in person classes but would like to access in person services can establish their Cleared4 Access Pass in advance by following the steps at this webpage. If you need help with Cleared4, please call the Helpline at 707-524-1500.

First Day Guide

With evolving protocols and a mix of in person and remote course offerings, we have updated the First Day Guide to help you prepare for your first day including wait lists and troubleshooting Canvas. Check it out.

Student Health ServicesBearcub wearing a mask properly

We have moved! You can now find our Health & Wellness Center on the third floor of Bertolini. We are here to support your health so you can focus on your academic success. We have remote and in-person appointments with our nurse practitioners for all students. We offer over-the-counter items and some common prescription medications at no cost to students. And, we have FREE COVID vaccines.

Get Free at Home Rapid Tests

Great news! Now you can test yourself for COVID-19 in the safety of your own home.

Go to https://www.covidtests.gov/ to request a test. Help stop the spread of the pandemic.

If you test positive, STAY HOME!

Students: report your test on Cleared4. Also expect a call from a contact tracer to assist you.

Mental Health Support

We welcome students to discuss any personal issues that are interfering with their academic work, including stress, sadness, and relationship issues, and other concerns. We have therapists who specialize in working with a wide variety of issues and marginalized groups, including students of color and LGBTQ students. It’s FREE and open to any SRJC student. Call or email Student Health to make a mental health appointment with our therapists, remote only in January, and then remote and in-person later in the semester. For those students wanting SPS services and lacking Wi-Fi and a confidential location, please schedule with our offices as we can provide you an office in Bertolini for your appointment.

Queer Resource Center

Although not physically open just yet, SRJC’s Queer Resource Center is still working hard to support LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty. We invite y’all to join us for our first Queer corners, which will be held via Zoom from 11-12 on Wednesday, January 19th and 26th (see BearFacts for flyer and details).

The QRC holds Queer Corners every Wednesday (same time, same Zoom)--join us for community, for care, and for critical conversations. Click Here to join our mailing list and be sure to follow us on Instagram @QRCSRJC!

Parking on Campus

Once again, parking permits are not required to park at any District sites.

NEW CAMPUM MAPS

We have incorporated more detail and information in the hopes of making navigating the different campuses and sites easier.
