Tabling & Solicitation Policy

Tabling and solicitation activities on campus are permitted in accordance with District policies and must not disrupt instructional programs, services, or campus operations. The District reserves the right to regulate the time, place, and manner of all tabling and solicitation activities.

 

Eligibility

The following groups may request to table:

  • Registered student organizations
  • College departments and programs
  • College-affiliated organizations
  • External organizations (subject to additional requirements and approval)

Approval is granted at the discretion of the District or its designee and is not guaranteed.

 

How to Request Tabling Space

To request tabling space or check in for same-day tabling:

Registration & Check-In Requirement

All tabling and solicitation activities must be registered and approved.

Same-Day Requests

  • Groups may check in in person on the day of their activity at the appropriate campus office.

  • Same-day requests are subject to availability, staffing, and space limitations.

  • Approval is not guaranteed for same-day requests.

Advance Requests

  • Groups are encouraged to submit requests in advance to ensure availability and processing.

Unregistered or unapproved tabling is not permitted and may be directed to cease.

 


Conditions of Use

Approved tabling activities must comply with the following:

  • Activities are limited to designated tabling locations

  • Tabling may only occur during approved dates and times

  • Tables, signage, and displays must not obstruct walkways, entrances, exits, or emergency access

  • Amplified sound is prohibited unless explicitly authorized

  • Sales, fundraising, or donation collection require prior approval

  • All materials must be removed at the conclusion of the approved time

  • Groups are responsible for leaving the area clean

Prohibited Conduct

The following are not permitted:

  • Aggressive or disruptive solicitation

  • Harassment or coercion

  • Blocking pedestrian traffic or building access

  • Posting materials outside approved areas

  • Use of hazardous materials or open flames

  • Any activity that violates District policy or staff direction

Enforcement

Failure to comply with District policies or conditions may result in:

  • Immediate termination of the activity

  • Revocation of approval

  • Loss of future tabling privileges

  • Referral to appropriate District offices
