Thank you for attending the 12th Annual Student Film Festival on April 3, 2020! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
CALL FOR ENTRIES
Our official call for entries will begin December 2 - March 2 and will be open to all students of Sonoma County. Student filmmakers invited to screen at the event will receive passes to attend Film Fest Petaluma, Sonoma County’s premier international short films festival, held on May 2, 2020 at the historic Mystic Theatre in downtown Petaluma. Students with films designated as “Best of Show” will also be invited to screen in FilmFest Petaluma, where they can network and engage with industry professionals from around the world.
For rules & guidelines on entering a film, visit our Sonoma County Student Film Festival Page on Film Freeway by clicking the banner below. The films that are chosen will be shown to the public on Friday April 3, 2020 at the Carole L. Ellis Auditorium at SRJC Petaluma. The screening will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. Following the event there will be a mixer open to all filmmakers and guests. This year we will be implementing a $5 general admission fee to guests in order to support the Sonoma County Student Film Festival and the student filmmakers of Sonoma County. Directors and their accredited crew will be offered complimentary passes to the event.
The Sonoma County Student Film Festival was initiated 12 years ago by the Student Government President, Amanda Swan, and launched at SRJC Petaluma. The Sonoma County Film Festival encourages students to build academic and professional connections with their peers and community. SCSFF strives to connect and introduce student filmmakers within the community to our own Digital Media and Filmmaking programs here at SRJC.
Featured filmmakers receive passes to attend the Film Fest Petaluma, Sonoma County’s Premiere international short films festival.
